Colors of the Burmese cat

overall impression
The Burma stands out as an independent breed by its unique color genetics (cb cb) from. Salient features of this lively breed, the silky texture of her coat and her expressive eyes. It is a medium sized, elegant cat. Any resemblance to the Siamtyp or compactness of the British must be penalized.
Size medium

head

form
Viewed from the front: short wedge, wide at the cheekbones, the nose tapering to a blunt. Upper head broad and with height, broad between the ears and slightly rounded. In Profile: forehead slightly rounded nose and chin form a vertical line.
nose On approach is a clear break.
pine Wide at the hinge joint
chin Strong. The profile shows the chin a strong lower jaw.

ears

form Medium (except young animals), broad at base with slightly rounded tips.
placement
Set well apart. The outline of the ears following the upper part of the face (except for mature males - full cheeks). In profile the ears are slightly tilted forward.

eyes

form
Large and set wide apart, the top eye line is straight and runs after slight oriental slant towards the nose, while the lower line being rounded.
color
Bright, lively and very shiny. All shades of yellow, chartreuse to amber, with golden yellow is preferred. Shape, size and position are important for the expression of Burma as the color. In older cats a waning color is allowed.

body

size medium length
structure Compact and muscular, heavier than specified by the look. Chest strong and rounded in profile, back straight.

legs

form Relatively slim and in proportion to the body.
paws Oval, small, in proportion to body.

tail

  Of medium length, straight, medium thickness at the base, tapering to a rounded tip.

fur

structure Fine, shiny, silky, close to the body, almost without undercoat, very short.
color
With all the color varieties underside of the body gradually brighter than the back and legs, but the gradient. The coat should be stepped up to a paler color of the hair follicles are stained. Face and ears may show some contrast. All varieties with no stripes or polka dots.

In young animals (3-6 months) should have a slight ghost markings and a lighter overall body color can be tolerated than in adults.

FFIFe - the largest European Breeders' Association:

"2.6.11 BUR (Burma) The FIFe will recognize only the Burmans in the following colors: BUR n, a BUR, BUR b, c BUR, BUR d, e BUR, BUR f, g BUR, BUR h, BUR j.

FIFe is a person or association at Burmans to breed in other color varieties thanabove . When breeding Burmans: • Silver, agouti and / or varieties with white, are not allowed in the breeding • offspring in non-recognized color varieties must be registered as XSH. "

On all colors of the lower body is slightly lighter than the back and legs. The colors should flow evenly. The individual hair is graduated up to a lighter color at the hair root. Should not Smoke effects or ticking. The badge shows little contrast with the body color but are uniformly formed. Errors are any streaks or spots.
